SYNOPSYS : Following a racing accident on the Le Mans circuit, which causes the death of several people, John Scott, famous racing champion, decides to abandon racing, while however remaining in the environment as trainer and builder. This last decision is the cause of a rift in his relations with his young wife, Sheila, tired of living in the constant nervous tension caused by the dangerous career of her husband. One day Scott meets a young driver, Dustin Rich, capable and courageous but also inexpert and arrogant, and he decides that he will make him into a real champion. Living with Scott Dustin does not disdain from courting Sheila, who however treats him coldly, as she is still in love with her husband. Subsequently, having managed to improve his position race after race, Dustin manages to grasp a clamorous success at the wheel of a car built by Scott himself together with an elderly industrialist. With the victory of the car that he has built, Scott makes peace with Sheila.
